Ambulances
In 1998 My son Markus bought a VW ambulance in Finland and drove it home. It was originally based at an airport so it had been garaged all its life and was in excellent mechanical condition. He was able to drive it in UK without re registering it on its Finnish plates.
He took it to several VW shows then sold it to a film properties company in the USA.
This photo taken on my first digital DSLR in 1998, an Olympus C1400, only 1.4 mega pixel
A few years later in 2005 he went back to Finland and bought another ambulance, again in excellent condition for its age but needing an engine rebuild. Still waiting for him to find tim to start it
