Philips Electrical 1970

I joined Philips Electrical as a senior engineer in solid state marketing. As well as the usual range of semiconductors our main object was to sell thick film circuitry. A thick film circuit is similar to a printed circuit board in miniature except the board is alumnia and the tracks and resistors are printed on it. We had the advantage we could bond bare chips down and eutectic weld the connections with gold wire. This was a great space saver against others who were connecting normal packaged devices. This business was conducted by a recent Philips  acquission 'Pye, including Newmarket Transistors'

I have no idea why but I can't find any photos of my time there, probably the pressures of the job left no time for photography.

Andrew Wylie has a website that shows lots about Newmarket Transistors, I sent him lots of samples years ago. Here is a link to his site.
